Gestern hat sich Scott endlich mal wieder bei mir gemeldet per email.
Er hat mir auch eine email von Gantry mitgeschickt.
Also Gantry war im Krankenhaus.
Deswegen haben wir nichts von ihm gehört.
Da es hierbei um sehr persönliche Dinge geht, poste ich hier im Forum
nicht die email.


Scott selbst hat mir geschrieben, dass er seit Tagen überhaupt
nicht mehr bei CarcC sich einloggen kann.

Scott war online - aber nur kurz.
Er hat mal einen anderen Browser getestet.
Dieser Browser hat dann auch Probleme gemacht.

So in ca. 7 Stunden hat Scott Feierabend. Mal sehn ob er sich denn
tatsächlich zu Wort meldet.

I wrote an e-mail to mjharper, but I don't know if I would become an answer from him.

My thoughts are, that the admins have to talk together, what they really like to do.

Today I wrote to all three admins emails.

I had the second time a special problem with CarcC.
That has nothing to do with the typical problems there.

I'll wait for answers from the admins.

The special problem:

The Forum changes identity even though you are not logged in.
This identity can affect also other users.
No one knows whether the foreign identity can change also the posts
from the original user.

Das spezielle Problem:

Das Forum ändert die Identität obwohl man nicht angemeldet ist.
Die Identität kann auch andere User betreffen.
Niemand weiß, ob die fremde Identität auch die Posts des originalen
Users ändern kann.

Scott wrote me yesterday. He didn't heard anything from Gantry since two weeks ago.

mjharper: Now, there are holidays at the university. I haven't any chance to call him directly.
He has received emails from me on all email addresses that I have of him.

mjharper: Nun jetzt sind Semesterferien. Ich weiß nicht wie ich ihn erreichen kann.

I have got answers from Scott and Gantry today:

Scott wrote this to Gantry:

I can't login to the forums so I can't put it into maintenance mode.

Gantrys answer to Scott:

The database will have to be restored from a previous one, I will work on this tomorrow evening.

That means:

Again we are loosing all the new posts at CarcC and also all the new members will be lost since the end of Nov 2012.

The next time I am there at CarcC a "Vagabund" without any post.

Wieder werden wir alle neuen Posts bei CarcC verlieren genauso wie alle neuen Mitglieder seit Ende Nov 2012.

Ich selbst starte das nächste Mal mal bei CarcC wieder als "Vagabund" ohne jeden Post.

Whaleyland can't log in and post at CarcC like Scott can't.

I actually didn't post it because I thought the forum may be upgraded sometime extremely soon, for some reason. But now that I try, I can't log in with any of my browsers. They all say I'm using the wrong password even though I've tried all of mine. I'll try again later today and see if that specific problem resolves itself.
