In Tschechien gibt es jetzt eine Demo-Mini-Version von Carcassonne.

Sie hat 48 Karten, ganz ohne Klöster und ohne Wappen. Dies könnte interessant sein, wenn man mal nicht Mega-Carcassonne spielen will oder ein Spiel für Anfänger und kleine Kinder ...

Habe es heute mal (zu zweit) gespielt. Ja, ... es ist Carcassonne, es gibt nicht so viele Entscheidungen, dadurch ist es nur halb so lang, schätze ich mal. Spaß macht es trotzdem, als Einführungsspiel ist das durchaus geeignet, wenn man zu Beginn noch die Felderwertung beiseitelässt auch für jüngere Kinder geeignet.

• The demo version comes with no meeples and no scoreboard. They only mention that the original game is for 2-5 players (no recommendation about the number of players for the demo). The tiles are the same size as in the original game. There is no starting tile (each tile has the same back). Here are the rules:
  - make a set of 4 followers for each player (you can use coins)
  - prepare a sheet of paper to follow the scoring
  - draw one tile and make it a starting tile
  - from this moment the rules are identical to the original game (drawing tiles, placing follower, discarding the tile that doesn't fit anywhere)
  - you can score for the road and the cities (no pennants in the cities, no farms, no cloisters)
  - just like in the full version, you score both after completing a feature and at the end of the game
